Our Youth Director is part of our Family Ministries Team with the Early Childhood Director and the Children’s Director. This team, which encompasses ministries to children and youth from birth through Grade 12, works together cooperatively under the direction of the Executive Pastor to ensure families experience a seamless transition from one ministry area to the next.

Our Youth Director plans and directs ministries to students in grades 7-12 and their families. This includes Sunday school, small groups, student-led worship, mission trips, special events, and service and leadership development opportunities. A key responsibility is recruiting, training, developing, and directing a team of adult and youth volunteers to serve in these ministries.

The ideal candidate will be energetic, enthusiastic, resilient, outgoing, and a great team player and demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication, administration, event planning, and relationship-building skills. This candidate must also be able to clearly articulate their call to youth ministry.

Minimum requirements: a Bachelor of Arts degree in youth ministry, secondary education, special education, psychology, social work, or a related field, one year of experience working with this age group (teaching/mentoring preferred), and successful completion of a nationwide criminal background check including the sex offender registry. A criminal background check must be completed before an interview will be scheduled.
