STEPHEN MINISTRY

All of us face difficulties as we journey through life.  But sometimes we can feel overwhelmed by the struggles we are going through:  death of a loved one, divorce or separation, marital problems, a medical diagnoses or chronic illness, spiritual crisis, unemployment or job loss, loneliness, discouragement or recovery after an accident or disaster.  At those times, it helps to have someone to walk alongside you caring and listening, not judging or criticizing, and keeping everything confidential.  That is what a Stephen Minister is trained to do.  We care by listening, praying, being faithful and giving you an hour each week to share your needs, fears and concerns.

Stephen Ministry was founded in 1975, is interdenominational, has trained thousands of Stephen Leaders who, in turn, have trained millions of Stephen Ministers to provide care and compassion in their congregations.  Aldersgate Church has participated in Stephen Ministries since 2001.

If you or someone you know could benefit from the care of a Stephen Minister, please talk to a Stephen Leader or call 725-4949 to be put in touch with a Stephen Leader. For more information about the Stephen Ministry organization, click here.
